Forest Arms Visitors book circa 1900

With thanks to Cerith Lewis, who’s family ran the Pub in the 30s, we have been lent the old Guest Book. It contains lovely comments, poems, and pictures.

In those days The Forest Arms was well know as a Sporting Venue for its excellent fishing on the River Cothi. In fact when I left Wales after finishing School, my first job sat me in front of my new Boss.

First question ” so where in Wales do you live ?” Im used to people having no idea where Brechfa is. It turned out he regularly stayed in the Forest Arms for its fishing.

Who would have thought, 35 years later I would be buying it, refurbishing it and reopening it, after ten years of closure ; and then be typing this to share this lovely piece of written history.
